Tranylcypromine is a monoamine oxidase ингибитор (MAOI)—it is a nonselective and irreversible ингибитор of the enzyme monoamine oxidase (MAO). It is used as an antidepressant and anxiolytic agent in the clinical treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, respectively.
