Narasin is a novel agent that inhibits dengue virus replication in vitro through non-cytotoxic mechanisms, thus indicating its potential to be further developed as a therapeutic agent.It is used for the treatment of coccidiosis from a class of protozoa. It also triggers phospholipid scrambling of the erythrocyte клетка membrane, an effect partially dependent on Ca2+ entry. It has been shown to foster apoptosis of tumor cells.
