27-Hydroxycholesterol, also known as 27-HC, is an endogenous oxysterol with multiple biological functions, including activity as a селективный estrogen рецептор modulator (SERM) (a mixed, tissue-specific агонист-антагонист of the estrogen рецептор (ER)) and as an агонист of the liver X рецептор (LXR).
